“ISIS is composed of the same terrorists who are fighting in Libya, in Somalia, in Syria, in Afghanistan, in Nigeria, and elsewhere. The names of the organizations may vary, but their terrorism is one and the same.”

  1. Be more objective……don’t be so quick to follow the western label of “terrorist” to these groups that they themselves fund and sometimes train.

  2. Iranian Army Chief of Staff Gen. Hassan Firouzabadi claimed Wednesday that Israel created and supports the terrorist Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

“ISIS is Israel’s cover up for distancing the revolutionary forces from Israeli borders and creating a margin of security for the Zionists, and the Zionist media have also admitted this fact,” he said, Fars News Agency reported.

ISIS recently took areas in northern Iraq.

“The only way for the Iraqi people to overcome this problem is unity, resistance, and suppression of these modern-day ignorance fighters,” added Firouzabadi.

Meanwhile, the commander of Iran’s Basij force, Brig.-Gen.

Mohammed Reza Naqdi, said on Wednesday that recent attacks by ISIS are part of a new US plot.

“The scene they have created in Iraq is the result of the United States’ behind-the-scene attempts to sow discord and they are certainly the main mastermind of these events,” said Naqdi, Fars reported.

Naqdi attributed this to the US and its allies’ desire for Iraq’s oil.

“These Takfiri [fundamentalist streams] that introduce Shi’ites as infidels,” issue decrees for killing them, and “massacre innocent people under the pretext of [obeying] Islam… say nothing but lies,” he said.

These groups commit crimes to support the arrogant world powers, he added.

  3. Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed support for the government of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in its war against the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorist group.

According to a statement released by the Kremlin, the two leaders spoke on the phone on Friday as Maliki informed Putin about the measures of his government to drive out the militants from the northern parts of the country.

“Putin confirmed Russia’s complete support for the efforts of the Iraqi government to speedily liberate the territory of the republic from terrorists,” the statement read.

“It was noted that the activities of extremists conducting military operations on the territory of Syria has taken on a cross-border character and now threaten the security of the whole region,” the statement added.

On June 10, the ISIL militants took control of the Nineveh provincial capital Mosul. They later took control of the city of Tikrit, located some 140 kilometers (87 miles) northwest of the capital Baghdad.

Iraqi armed forces have managed to regain control of the Abu Tayban region in the city of Ramadi and almost all parts of the strategic town of Tal Afar in Nineveh province.

Iraqi soldiers have also regained control of the Baiji oil refinery in the strategic Salahuddin province after the ISIL militants attacked the oil facility earlier this week….
