Me: Black African born in Brazil.
Here in São Paulo, Brazil there is the African-Brazilian museum right inside Ibirapuera Park. I was there with this white friend I got, and as I was passing thru the collections, I overheard these white guys talking and they were talking about this tale of when the europeans (portuguese in this case) got to explore (or loot, whatever you call it) the west coast of Africa. In one of the battles after the victory had already been won by the european side, but the battle was still on, there were the these africans that were praying, and one of the captains looked at the sargent and said: “Look they still need God.”
This was a day I shall never forget.
There are great african-american thinkers like Malcolm X, John H. Clarke, and others. Today I really enjoy Dr. Claude Anderson. You know people that actually want to get the job done, for it to be done must involve PRATICAL MEANS and ENDS. I believe that the ends they talk about is a higher standard of living for black people every where. How can that be achieved thru God, or some other untangible word be it rightoness, or morality or whatever? As UheardMeFirst from YouTube put it: “You can’t cash it on the bank and you sure can’t put on the table to eat.” In my own opinion if you have already watched the videos or read the books and you already known that our history is deeper than slavery and about the Mali empire, and Kemet and so on, the question is what are you going to do about it?
Here in Brazil is just like in the US, most will just “honor the ancestors” by working for white people and dancing as much as possible, or “teach the youth” by trying to erase the persons formational years of brainwashing (white history) by becoming lectures, history teachers, political debators, Samba, Capoeira, or Ile Ifê masters, rappers.
In other words nothing that actually produces any tangible good that can be sold or consumed. It is like we are all blind and cannot see these stuff as entertainment at best and as pyramid schemes at worst.
But actually sitting down with each other and talking about the world in 2013 as it is and what can be done, not many. Since I am an individualist and try to get as many sources as possible I can only come to the conclusion (today for tomorow it might change) that we need to produce, not only consume, and how can we produce? By getting our young males to study the so called stem sciences, you known math, engenieering, chemestry, banking and so on. And also talk the real talk about love, and sexual desire and the mating habits of humans and other primates, so the young will also see the reality as it is. We men are competing with each other for sex which is only natural, but completelly detrimental to the acumullation of whealth. It seems to me after reading about the mating habits of chimpanzees, and bonobos, that we are divided into these 2 primates behaviors and that’s OK if your people got it together and rule so that your people will have the most and the others the rest, but for the people that is on the botton… Humans that have aquired reason and have lived thru experiences all over the world have conducted arranged marrieges. Today we see it as something wrong, that takes the freedom of the individual away, but as we look all around the world that is what rich people do. It seems to me that black people in general are still wating for somebody to save us, you known wating for a leader, or a guide. For me as I see it, that is sad because the people that actually have power don’t need leaders except for entertainament purposes. They don’t need leaders, because their elite knows how to conduct them in the direction they want their people to go. For the white man in power is OK if some white boy likes rap music, or acts and talk black and what-not, just like the “black leaders and guides” told black people to do. In the end of the day, it is the white language that is being used, it is the white calendar that the days are counted on and even though that does makes a differance in the psychology of all of us, it’s the white man that is making money and that can be changed in 2-3 generations if we really have the balls. It’s like we are waiting for someone to captivated the hearts and souls of black people and organize us to do better, when what we really need is black bussines to spend our money on. Or we can continue doing a woman’s work (working thru our mouths) just like all of our great leaders have done. Let the women debate, we men have got work to do. Dr. Claude Anderson is tired he said in the last interview I heard from him, it is availiable on Youtube, it is during a radio show. Here in São Paulo, Brazil there is the African-Brazilian museum right inside Ibirapuera Park. I was there with this white friend I got, and as I was passing thru the collections, I overheard these white guys talking and they were talking about this tale of when the europeans (portuguese in this case) got to explore (or loot, whatever you call it) the west coast of Africa. This was a day I shall never forget.
There are great african-american thinkers like Malcolm X, John H. Clarke, and others. Today I really enjoy Dr. Claude Anderson. You know people that actually want to get the job done, for it to be done must involve PRATICAL MEANS and ENDS. I believe that the ends they talk about is a higher standard of living for black people every where. How can that be achieved thru God, or some other untangible word be it rightoness, or morality or whatever? It seems to me after reading about the mating habits of chimpanzees, and bonobos, that we are divided into these 2 primates behaviors and that’s OK if your people got it together and rule so that your people will have the most and the others the rest, but for the people that is on the botton… Humans that have aquired reason and have lived thru experiences all over the world have conducted arranged marrieges. Today we see it as something wrong, that takes the freedom of the individual away, but as we look all around the world that is what rich people do. It seems to me that black people in general are still wating for somebody to save us, you known wating for a leader, or a guide. For me as I see it, that is sad because the people that actually have power don’t need leaders except for entertainament purposes.
