From Wikipedia:

On the obverse it depicted (originally somewhat crudely) the early fathers of the Church of Rome, the apostles Peter and Paul, identified by the letters Sanctus Paulus and Sanctus Petrus (thus, SPA •SPE or SPASPE). Paul, on the left, was shown with flowing hair and long pointed beard composed of curved lines, while Peter, on the right, was shown with curly hair and shorter beard made of dome-shaped globetti (beads in relief). Each head was surrounded by a circle of globetti, and the rim of the seal was surrounded by an additional ring of such beads, while the heads themselves were separated by a depiction of a cross

    1. The jews were Semetic, descendants of Shem, not Ham. Very curly hair was common among Mediterranean Semites. Also, one has to be very careful interpreting artistic depictions of Biblical figures. Case in point: Renaissance depictions in cathedrals. The artists who did those paintings were commissioned by popes and bishops of the Catholic church. As such, said depictions of apostles, etc. were painted to look like the popes and bishops in order to garner their favor. Truthfully, though, these were Semetic people with olive skin and dark curly hair, but definitely not Sub-Saharan Africans. As for Paul, he was from Tarsus. If you look at Syrian people of today, you can clearly see straighter hair.

  1. Paul was a Benjiminite black tribe of Jacobs 12 sons.. Like Judea was black.. Jacob was black..
