BAN THE USE OF SALT AND SUGAR FROM BIG BUSINESSES

If you love yourself, your family and friends, you will wholeheartedly agree with me. I have seen to many unnecessary deaths and painful emotions stemming from salt and sugar.

We have to start looking at processed salt and sugar as drugs. I don’t mean to have them federally restricted by law. Rather, we should make the FDA look at those two things, and enforce them, as hazardous to the health life of people, and to eliminate these products from the food business (and they should be only used in emergency). They are more dangerous than helpful.

The argument for using salt is that its the cheapest preservative ever and it increases shelf life. Well we eat food faster than the benefits salt can give us in terms of food preservation. Salt preservation would only be good in a time of emergency. Yet we use it more despite our times of plenty and/or overabundance of food. Therefore salt is only useful for the corporations in those conditions; as it delights the taste buds of consumers to want more of it.

Processed sugar is not a preservative and it is only made because it ‘tastes good’. It has no redeeming qualities whatsoever except to give us an overworked pancreas, kidney and heart problems. This is further reinforced by this idea that consuming excess is the best way of living (Capitalism does not teach the virtue of modesty).

Nature provides with us sufficient amounts of sodium and sugar that our bodies need. There is already an abundance of food that natural has sodium and sugar inside. The only use for processed sugar and salt is for big business to saturate foods with them, in order for big business to make profit.

I am going on a ban salt and sugar campaign.
