Ethiopia (Bible-period Africa) is mentioned so many times in the Bible that one would presume that its extensive political, cultural and economic significance in the Biblical period was common knowledge.

Below, find a few examples of the recognition given to Africa in the ancient times:

Jeremiah 13:23:

Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

Amos 9:7:

Are you not as children of Ethiopia unto me, O children of Israel. Have I not brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt?

Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Punt and Lubim were thy helpers.

Zephania 3:10:

From beyond the borders of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed shall bring mine offering.

Genesis 2:13:

Ethiopia is one of the first countries mentioned in the Bible. It is associated with the garden of Eden.

Genesis 10:6-20:

And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

Later on in his career, Moses was sheltered and counseled by his Ethiopian father-in-law, Jethro (Exodus 3:1, 4:18,18:1-12)

2 Kings 19:9:

And when he heard say of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, Behold, he is come out to fight against thee: he (king of Babylon) sent messengers again unto Hezekiah…

2 Chronicles 14:9:

Job 28:19:

The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.

  1. We have nothing to claim about God or His created world because we live at the most for 85 plus years. We get our references from the remote past only through the records. Honest and truthful records stood the test of time and we can infer the details from them. It is better if we appreciate the claim of God for us because we all need to be in His Eternity. It is all going to be color no black and white

  2. I totally agree with the part about the color does not matter, but I would also like to bring this commom era fact to light. It appears that the curiosity of man is beginning to smack him in the face, meaning, If they weren’t so curious to discover God’s mysteries and works then we wouldn’t be having these debates in the first place. I found it rather amusing that scientist are finding the answers for their on going questions. I think that we are getting exactly what we deserve as inquisitive minded people, furthermore look at the national disaster…The earth is leaking Oil….HELLO!!! is anyone paying atttention to this? We will ultimately lead to our own demise, the roles have been reversed: before we were put here to maintain the earth, now since mankind has crept his way upon it again, it seems that the earth protects us!!! Man leans to his own understanding, thus co creating stuff which in returns comes from natural elements of the earth to begin with, but they pride themselves off of the fact that they can send someone to the moon or put a telescope into orbit….please!!! with all of the space shuttles entering and exiting the atmosphere…no wonder the polar ice caps are melting. Bottome line, we as mankind have more important things that we should be directing our attention towards instead of one another. Don’t jude a book by its cover or a man by his color…that is an original quote so don’t steal it..lol. The only way things will ever get better is if we work together and we all know the devil doesn’t want unity unless it’s doing his work and the last time i checked, his work is the reason we have all this mess going on in the first place. WAKE UP PEOPLE! stop debating things that really shouldn’t matter because regardless of what we debate…..i still believe the truth shall come to the light and those who are used to living in darkness will reject that which the light reveals! the debate about race is a created debate to begin with, so who will ever have an answer to suffice…..no one. I like Black the like White!!! prime example!

    1. color does matter are white people from Africa. As indicated the Bible never mentions any European countries. It matters because the only image of Jesus Christ as presented to the world is a white guy with blond hair and blue eyes; not any other color. SO YES COLOR MATTERS. THEY WERE BROWN SKIN PEOPLE.

      1. I believe we all started out dark skinned black look up albino in africans they pit us against one another over color qnd dont realize this yes i believe we all originate out of africa

      2. The ever persistent imagery the white, blonde, blue eyed Jesus, constitutes a stumbling block, 80 % of the 5 to 6 billions of people on the planet are not white, Caucasian, They are mostly Islamic, Hindu, Buddhis, Ancestor or animal whorshipers .Most have a historical experience that makes the blonde, blue eyed, Image of Christ problematical. If the goal is to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus, The Christ. Insisting on an image that reminds Us of Our oppressors, seems considerablely less than intelligent.

    2. Color does matter…!!!
      I repeat… COLOR!!! DOES!!! MATTER!!!
It’s psychologically damaging for Black people to worship some non-historical, ridiculous looking, fake-ass White image…!!!
Get all those false White images out all Black churches…!!!!!

      1. Many black churches now have images of Jesus & disciples as people of color…WHICH THEY WERE !

    3. Wow that is so powerful, and it is so powerful because it is so packed with truth. You state the obvious so wonderfully that I do not think that those that are touched by it and do not want to be will not even be able to find anger in their hearts toward what is said. Thank You so very much.

    4. I absolutely concur. It is a scientific fact that all pigmentation is brown. The lighter the pigmentation the less melon you have.?

  3. yes my brothren god love the truth I’m set here read my book by nana blanch darwah;ph;the africa who rote the bible biblical time of us Egyptian

  4. Thank you , very inlighting.Yea shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

And how do his people parish?Because of the lack of knowlege

    1. Ras Clod Bwoi! What is it in the libraries of Alexandria , Cairo and other places in Egypt that they didn’t what us to see that pertains to Christianity?

  5. What people need to realize during the 400 silent years between Old Testament & New Testament Alexander the Great and another person destroyed the Libraries, Monuments, of Aleaxandria, Egypt and kept the most importat info {History of Egpt and Bible} with the Rich Clergy of the Church while the Laity (Church Attendee’s} didn’t have access to the real truth. The Greek Philosphers studied from the Egyptian school of thought.

  6. How when it come to whites and other races color doesn’t matter–but when it comes to black mentioning in the bible Color now matter. I don’t get it.

    1. Have you gone to church? How often have you heard anyone mention that there were black people in biblical time? What color do you see angels, Jesus, Santa? It’s as if black people don’t matter , have no meaning, black people are the beginning
of life give them their credit!

    2. It’s so true that when Blacks have questions about our influence in the Bible, it’s an issue. It must matter if others aren’t telling the truth about our representation in the Bible. If the truth were told, there’s be problem. Unbelievable! The Bible has been made dubious by MAN!

      1. Solomon said i am BLACK but i am comely, thus the CHRIST came through that lineage of DAVID so how could CHRIST b white? Impossible. Yet it gets deeper cause CHRIST is now in the spirit. J

        1. Because jesus is the angel of light that came not to bring peace but division and the true prophet Yeshua was hung on a tree like all the other prophets

    3. Indeed! It mattered to them when one would bow down to a fake blue eyed, blonde haired, milky white false idol whom they called jesus image who was the painting of the son of a evil pope a picture of the son of satan. When Yeshua the true Son of God had bronze skin.

Even there own pope bows down before a Black Virgin Mary and Yeshua. But let’s just sweep race under the rug and forget about it!

  7. Hey mon, it don’t matter bout color cause we all heathen Gentiles, but if you believe in the Almighty Jesus Christ as your Savior, then we are graffted into His kingdom! If you truly believe this then it’s like your Gods’ adopted children. Amen brothers and sisters

    1. Karl even before you think of paradise and Jesus (Yahshua) you need to get the truth right today and stop hiding behind the name. If you keep my commandments you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Truth is exposing lies for what is fact.
