Belgium’s longest-serving bishop resigned today, April 23 2010, after admitting that he sexually abused a young boy 25 years ago.
Roger Vangheluwe, 73, a senior bishop, is the latest in a series of Catholic priests to step down in recent days as a result of the sex abuse scandal engulfing the church.
