Chemist Patrick Obukowho created Advantage Research Lab LLC in New Jersey to specialize in ethnic beauty development. Mr. Obukowho holds several patents for his work and is seen as an expert in the beauty industry.

Chemist Patrick ObukowhoAR-L President and Principal Consulting Chemist Patrick Obukowho has over eighteen years of hands-on experience in Ethnic product formulation and raw material evaluation. He is an instructor on Ethnic Product formulation/Chemistry for the Society of Cosmetic Chemists’ Continuing Education Program and is a member of the Society’s “Ask the Expert” panel. Mr. Obukowho has several U.S. patents and several publications to his name and is the recipient of several certificates recognizing his contributions to the industry. During his career he has given many technical presentations both domestically and internationally and has worked closely with all the major Ethnic product manufacturers.

Prior to opening AR-L, Mr. Obukowho was Executive Program Manager, Ethnic Product Development for Croda Inc. Previously, he had been Research Manager, Personal Care Applications for the company. Earlier in his career, Mr. Obukowho was with Luster Products in Chicago. He earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Chicago State University.
