Fundraising Cocktail Reception for World AIDS Day

Africa House and Southern Tier AIDS Program (STAP) will host a fundraising cocktail reception on December 1, 2009 from 4pm to 7pm. The event will be at Africa House in Endicott.
STAP will be fundraising for Jifahamu Kenya Foundation, a sister organization. Based in Kenya, Jifahamu’s core mission is to address health issues in the country. Among its numerous initiatives, the foundation also supports an orphanage with over 500 children.
Because this is a fundraising reception, a portion of the proceeds from the sales of items at Africa House on December 1 will go directly to support the initiatives of STAP and Jifahamu.

Jifahamu Kenya Foundation
Jifahamu KENYA FOUNDATION (JKF) is a Kenyan-registered not-for-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) whose mission is to address health-related issues in the society. JKF was founded as ERDP Kenya in 2002 by Mr. Ongute, a computer Engineer and a community worker who helping people who are Living Positively with HIV and AIDS achieve their dream life through instilling hope in them and he is substance-abuse counselor.

Providing Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in the Southern Tier of New York Founded in 1984 as a local response to the HIV epidemic, Southern Tier AIDS program provides effective and innovative HIV and Hepatitis C prevention education and outreach services to individuals and communities and comprehensive and caring services to people living with HIV/AIDS. Serving eight counties from nine office locations, all our services are free and confidential.
