Launch Musician to be Showcased in Africa House Music and Culture ProgramLemuel Live at Africa House

The launch musician for the Music and Culture initiative at Africa House is Lemuel, a New York City based soul singer and songwriter.

He brings a refreshing and unique perspective with a mellow but historical sound that leaves you yearning for more.

Africa House is launching its monthly music and culture initiative starting in November 2008. This initiative is an attempt to introduce emerging and established musicians, creative thinkers, writers and performers for live sessions and conversations at Africa House. One thing that links them all is their ability to create some of the wonderful sound and images. Therefore the goal of the program is to hold monthly sessions at Africa House, and to expose great music to the Greater Binghamton region.

The program will debut with Lemuel, a New York City based soul musician. Lemuel will be the first artist to launch this initiative. Lemuel's music is influenced by his southern roots, the messages of the gospel he heard on Sundays, and his time in Baltimore. He brings a refreshing and unique perspective with a mellow but historical sound that leaves you yearning for more.
