Both the artist and the curator of Shifting the Paradigm: The Art of George Edozie were born in Nigeria, however they each work internationally as cultural practitioners who question so-called “post-modern” theories about aesthetics.

His Majesty, lgwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, was born in Onitsha Nigeria in 1941. Onitsha is located in the state of Anambra in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. After earning his BA in Chemistry from Stanford and an MBA from Columbia, he enjoyed a 30-year career with the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria, where he was appointed to the board of directors and managed of the Eastern Division of the company which was  responsible for the production of one-quarter of Nigeria’s s oil output (500,000 barrels per day).

“Our music is infused with emotion, with passion, love, playfulness. We’ve grown up with it. We live it,” says Vish. In the past year they have played on 6 continents.  “Rhythm is a universal language,” explains the Mayapuri drummer, Bali, “It transcends all external barriers. Everything. Race, religion, tongue, creed, culture. It’s the heartbeat of the universe.”  Mayapuri drummer, Vrinda says, “It doesn’t matter where you come from, what language you speak, your cultural background. This kind of music speaks to everyone." All three of them attended boarding school in India where they learned the fundamentals of mantra music. Their group is named after the holy village of Mayapur, where the kirtan movement started. Their album is named after the Mridanga, a clay and leather drum from Mayapur.

Nurturing Nature is a series of work using interactive media, video installation and more traditional media that collectively allow the gallery visitor to experience elements of a very personal narrative. Working by-and-large with found media Rees Shad has created a group of works that act as lexia in the tale of his journey to familial discovery.

The Art Jerusalem Virtual Fairacts as a physical event, except that it is online and available to the visitors 24 hours - 7 days a week. A wide range of virtual booths, galleries, painters, photographers, sculpturers, mixed media artists, editors, agents and more, gathered together at one website. The visitor will be able to locate a specific artist or galley, "walk true" the virtual hall, or even search by techniques, names or free keywords.
