Who have eyes see. Who have heads, should think deep:

Elizabeth II the current Queen of England (Stamp). Clearly a pale skin woman.

Radcliffe James Bartholomew 4th Earl of Newburgh 1725 – 1787 (Stamp). A Muur!

Conway Edward 2nd Vicount Conway 1594 – 1655. A Muur!

Holles Gervais 1606 – 1675. A Muur….

Holles John 1st Earl of Clare 1564 – 1637. A Muur…

Linton Edward, Baron Linton of Munslow 1589 – 1645. Muur!

Macllelann John, 8th Lord Kirkcudbright. Muurish.

Moore Edward 5th Earl of Drogheda. A Muur!

    1. You would be right. I Moor’s head as the crest on a coat of arms normally means that an ancestor was a Crusader. An exception is Lord Kirkudbright. In this case the head is that of “Black Morrow” the head of a gypsy clan that was terrorising the area near Bombie Castle in the Middle Ages. The head however is usually rendered as that of a Blackamoor: i.e. an African, which is pretty unlikely.
