This also provides error. It refers to paleolithic humans, but the Vikings came long after that. Vikings were not a Stone Age civilisation. They came after the Iron Age, so this suggests only that Sub-Saharan Africans existed there before the Vikings, not that Vikings were black.

I’m not trying to discredit this theory, by the way. I support the theory of black Vikings. I see it as highly unlikely that all Vikings were blonde and blue eyes. The Vikings travelled, and they sometimes took prisoners. Many African cultures were wanderers, and they could have travelled into Europe and obviously then into Scandinavia.

Sweden as a country has one of the best education systems in the world, and one of the highest literacy rates. The fact that this person can’t perfectly spell in English does not denote stupidity or lack of knowledge of the subject being discussed, merely the lack of fluency in English. To judge his argument as invalid on that basis is purely racist. While I agree that he is misinformed, look at your last comment; “You Suede can barely write or spell well. I know therefore you are not worthy to untie the shoe that those authors wore. You have no standing to even begin to challenge their authority.”

That is a personal attack against his capacity not with history but with language, and your own comment contains errors. He is not a fabric (suede) but a Swede, a person of Swedish origin. And “You Suede can barely write or spell well” is a syntactically incorrect sentence.

Do not push him down for not writing perfect English when you do not do so either.

There could well be a point to his argument, and in fact, there is nothing to prove that black Vikings existed in Sweden and especially not that any king of Sweden has been black. There is more to suggest that these black Vikings were in fact Danish.

When researching you do not get to choose which aspects of research to consider, and you can’t disregard one piece of information simply because it conflicts with another. That is not how research works.

Another possibility: The earliest native peoples of Scandinavia were a darker skinned, dark-eyed and dark-haired people. What we think of as Scandinavian-looking now came from the Germanic tribes that migrated into norther Europe and far north. They were lighter skinned, with many of them blond, red-haired and blue or green eyed. Often, people in Ireland that call themselves ‘black’ are more commonly describing their dark hair. There is a theory that the “black Irish” were actually descended from sailors from the ships of the Spanish Armada blown off course after their defeat and wrecked in northern latitudes. They were taken in by Gaelic peoples and their Moorish looks may have been passed on that way.

Similarly, the early Norse settled in Normandy. It is often historically mentioned that after the Duke of Normandy – William the Conqueror – invaded England, it was easy to tell the Normans (leaner, finer bones, dark-haired, somewhat olive-skinned) from the Saxons (husky, blue-eyed, light haired) for a few hundred years. The English king defeated by William, Harold Godwinson, was described as light-haired and blue-eyed, but his brother, Tostig, who became an outcast and took to Viking ways, was dark-haired. He may have been called a “black Viking”. You must be careful with your interpretation of “black” in this case. We now use the word to describe African-descended people. They may have used it to refer to people who tended to be darker-haired than the Saxon inhabitants, in other words, the “black” was RELATIVE to the Germanic tribes.

A good book that refers often to this difference is a kind of archeological/historical novel called “Sarum”. It describes the centuries of the Salisbury plain, where Stonehenge is located. While the prehistory and more ancient chapters are based on theories and archeological evidence instead of written history, the novelist often refers to and bases his narrative on these different bloodlines.

It may also be instructive to look into the Sami people – which we now call Lapps – as they are descended from the very ancient natives of Scandinavia. There has been a fair amount of racial mixing, however.

There is also a chronicle written by a Persian or Arabic explorer that visited that area, although it seems he was only a visitor and never settled in the North.

While you’re at it you may want to google “non-african dna neaderthal”. You will learn non-africans have neanderthal dna to this day and they are different from homo-sapiens. The neighborhood in NYC I grew up in was until the 70s all caucasian the 80s and 90s copper-hued people(so called blacks) now east indians. Why is it so hard to understand those people there now are not the people from an earlier time? Or like Harlem NYC a known “black” neighborhood where folks are now being force out or priced out and the “red man” (that’s what you used to call yourself before the whigs party) is moving in by the busloads. Years from now someone will say Duke Ellington played in Harlem and it will seem just as unbelievable. My people were and are way more than just slaves, entertainers and sportsmen we are truly the mothers and fathers of civilization. Even with the ignorance, deception and book burnings there’s enough evidence of the facts and the truth. The Age of Aquarius is the Age of Information and the sleepers are beginning to awaken. What we all must realize weather we believe it or not,we are one people with many variation.There is no question of that.The reason for this this life begain in Africa this is why white women have what is call the african strain.Not the white male,but the white female retain this gene.
If you ever seen any photos of Albinos in some of the tribes of Africa,they were consider outcast in certain areas,as their population grew they banded togeather,and formed groups, one of these groups were called Berbers.
The Albinos child in the tribe were thought of as having disease,and in many cases were
seperated from the other members. Since like attract like the motion began.

Mankind began in Africa and we all talk about the African despersal but fail to realize that
not all the Africa despersal were about just black people.

your post doesn’t make any sense. You state African features are not unique to Africans, but fell to understand that Africans have been all around the world shedding their seeds. The Negritos of South Asia and Austrailia have African DNA, but according to Scientist, they have majority Asian DNA. Also, their ancestral DNA is 97% identical to Africans (hapmap.org). And finally, African oral history confirms Hannibal was A Black African.

Notice that the nay-sayers (Whites) provide no documentation to support their blind denials of the Black presence in Europe, Western in particular. The fact is they, Whites, do not begin to penetrate Western Europe until after 1400 BC, before then THEY WERE NOT PRESENT! As they invaded from cold regions of Northern Asia, they moved in a westward direction – including southwest and west invading the African populations throughout Europe. There were no areas in Europe where you did not have a African (Black) presence. After invading the area now known as Greece, White tribes continued their invasions along the routes of Black societies, especially along the Danube River Valley area – from the Mediterranean west to the North Sea (west). The White presence in Western Europe (including England and Ireland) is very recent – including the acts of genocide and pogroms against the African (Black) populations by the White invaders. To get an idea of the impact on the African (Black) populations just think of what the Whites did to the Native ‘Americans’; their genocidal practices were fundamentally the same. A very good reference regarding the African (Black) presence and White invasions in Western Europe see the 2-volume set: Ancient and Modern Briton – by David MacRitchie (1884, since reprinted).
