It is interesting that most of the scholars who were present refered to the egyptians as black and even said that they recieved there information from the egyptians i am surprised that historians deny any contribution of africans to world history. do you think that herodetus was lying or exagerating his writings ? if so then a lot of our references to ancient history based on his books must be re evaluated

An interesting point that this article brings up is that the majority of civilizations throughout history were established by what we think of today as black people. Therefore, the distinction between black and African is very significant and is often overlooked.

This article clearly shows that with integration, Africa is a part of us all. Whether it's roots tied to our families or country in general I feel it is important to understand history and how it has affected today's society.

This article like the others that I have read is very intriguing. Like most people I am not aware of these facts and really why would I be? They don't teach us this stuff in grade school for the simple fact that history has been primarily written by White men. At the same this article shouldn't be taken as the absolute truth either. As I stated in another comment, you have to conduct your own research because you won't learn about this stuff from school.

I'm a little skeptical after reading this. Africa is so large, worldly interaction in ancient times is assumed. But the author seems to be making general, sweeping statements about the anthro histories of ancient nations.

This article really puts into perspective the important differences that underly the earlier civilizations of Africa and how they came to be. There are many influences that come from these early times. A large amount of history is found in these various civilization and it is important that we as readers are able to carefully piece together what effects these implications have for us on the development of our society.
