Philippe Dodard is an internationally acclaimed and multi-talented Haitian artist. This exhibition, “Philippe Dodard: Spirits of the Caribbean,” draws heavily from Haiti’s cultural roots and captures the dynamism, vibrant energy, and restlessness of this Caribbean island that taught the world the true meaning of freedom. Africa House is honored to showcase these paintings and drawings and celebrates an artistic vision that grasps the essence of forms.
Dinner is Moi Moi, lamb, organic salad with slices of mango, puree squash and carrot soup, served with South African wine, Ethiopian coffee (gourmet), tea and dessert.
Noted musicians, flautist Donna Wood and jazz pianist Gene Cothran will perform live.
