White World
|
 |
|
How can I function
in a room
full of fake smiles,
jealous glances and
rude remarks
emanating from underneath
cold whispers.
How can I love
in a free world
with prison bars standing
between my soul and that
of my next-door neighbor.
And ashes bringing families
together when summer re-union
is over before they wake up.
How can I pledge
my love to you
who call me foolish
and remind me of Satan's
reincarnation in the bodies
of sinners, racists and bigots. |
